Doctrinal Statement
(The following brief doctrinal statement is meant to provide readers with a quick view of what we believe in some key areas.)
The Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes His complete and final revelation to man. We believe the Bible in its entirety is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. (II Tim 3:16; II Pet 1:20-21).
God: We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19, Jn 1:1; 10:30; 14:9).
Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He has existed eternally (Jn 1:1-3, 14; 8:58; 16:28; 17:5; Col 1:15-16) but came to earth about 2000 years ago, born of the virgin Mary (Matt. 1:23; Lk 1:35). He lived a sinless life (II Cor 5:21; Heb 4:15; 7:26; I Pet 2:22), was crucified and raised from the dead the third day (I Cor 15:3-8). And that He now sits at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19; Lk 22:69; Acts 7:55; Rom 8:34; Eph 1:20) and will return someday to claim His church. (Matt 16:27; I Thess 1:10; 4:15-16; II Pet 3:4,9,10; Acts 1:11).
Salvation: We believe salvation is by grace through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Good works are meant to follow salvation but in no way gain us merit with God. (Jn 3:16; Jn 5:24; Jn 6:40; Rom 3:23-24; 4:4-5; Eph 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).
